Dr. Oppermann grew up in Grayling, graduating from Grayling High School. He then went on to earn a Bachelors of Vision Science from Ferris State University in 1995. He attended optometry school at Michigan College of Optometry and earned his Doctorate in 1998 with honors.
Dr. Oppermann is an active member of the Rotary Club of Gaylord, the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He also serves as an Administrator for Vision Source of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
Dr. Oppermann specializes in the eye health examination of patients of all ages, including the management of ocular disease, refractive surgery post operative care and contact lens fitting.
He is married and the father of two children, enjoys downhill skiing, hunting, boating, fishing and various other outdoor activities.
